Kalilangan, Bukidnon – The Kalilangan Local Government Unit with the leadership of its Municipal Mayor, Atty. Raymon Charl O. Gamboa, once again heard and catered the complaints and concerns of the Kalilanganons.
Despite of being aware to the fact that the Philippine national and local government cannot regulate oil prices due to Republic Act No. 8479 also known as the Oil Deregulation Law and at the same time recognizing the economic struggles of his fellow citizens, Mayor Gamboa promptly initiated series of sound dialogues with the fuel station operators within the municipality of Kalilangan to execute a possible roll back of prices in gasoline and diesel – a response to the post-pandemic concerns of oil consumers and other involved sectors.
The year-long initiative with thorough and fair considerations in convincing the various fuel station operators finally resulted to a successful and fair resolution relating to a significant decrement of fuel price per liter. After long negotiations, the operators and the local administration came up with a solution that will take effect on and from the 10th day of January 2024.
Mayor Gamboa expresses his gratitude to the fuel station operators for their just and kind response towards the request of the public. The Local Government Unit of Kalilangan proved that this action is a depiction that all involved sectors with the leadership of the local administration once share common responsibilities and goals, could deliver a just and comprehensive solution in delivering best quality of services to its people.
